Influenced by a lifetime of childhood summers fishing along the Jersey Shore, Steve's talents led him to an art degree from the Ringling School of Art and a graphic design career that evolved serendipitously into a flourishing marine art business combining Steve's life passions.

His simple, yet beautiful pen and inks evolve into a wonderful blend of mediums that include watercolors, always augmented by his use of stippling with pen & ink to bring out the subtleties of shape and shading. Steve's ability allows him to portray sportfishing boats, gamefish and a variety of other shoreline scenes with complete accuracy, while also capturing the "intangibles" that convert simple illustration into fine art.

A regular on the tournament circuit, Steve is the featured artist at exclusive sportfishing contests in places as varied as Venezuela, the Bahamas, Catalina Island, Bermuda, North Carolina and Marthas Vineyard. His original commission illustrations of sportfishing boats have become a hallmark in the industry. He offers over 50 limited editon prints on subjects ranging from tarpon to tallships to billfish. Steve's original illustrations are regularly featured at  fund raising events for various conservation groups and have raised several hundred thousands dollars in the past few years for private charities.
